I know I mentioned this in the log, but here are the pictures of the crab pot line we took off the prop shaft after getting back to the keys from the west coast of FL.
We picked the line up at about 5 AM while sailing from Fort Myers Beach down to the Seven Mile bridge at Marathon Key.
We stopped the boat, and tried to back it off... No luck...but the cutter must have cut the pot loose... but the line was really tangled around the ears of the prop... BUT..... if we kept the speed down to about 4.1 knots (1300 rpm)... there was no vibration... and no apparent problems....
The line was polypropylene (floating line)... illegal for most area pots.... they're supposed to use "sinking" line.
